AGARTALA, Nov 25 (TIWN): Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee on Wednesday releases its manifesto for the upcoming civic poll.
Releasing the party’s manifesto at Congress Bhawan, PCC President Birajit Sinha said that the water of Howrah River is getting polluted due to the lack of sanitation facility to the poor. Therefore, through integrated low cost sanitation scheme sanitation will be constructed.
Besides, initiatives will be taken to control the fish poachers, so that the people could consume clean and safe drinking water.
Criticizing the lack of health service in the State, the party will establish a Hospital. Besides, dispensary will be installed in every Municipal Area to provide low cost medicines to the people.
English medium schools will be established in all the four zones of the State.
The manifesto includes construction of proper drainage system to avoid water spill from the drains during the rainy season.
However, parking zones will be installed in the all the big buildings. The manifesto says the Congress will help draw a new Master Plan for the city keeping in view the new needs and development.
Talking about restoring great autonomy and authority for the local bodies, the party says it would take up the issue with the State Government.
Besides, where the old trees are being cut down due to the construction of the road, new saplings will be planted to maintain greenery in the State. All the historical monuments of the State will not be allowed to destroy.
Initiatives will be taken to provide security to the BPL families, ST/ SC/ OBC/ Muslim minority. Besides, the party will create pressure over the State Government to establish Central Valuation Board/ State Level Property Tax Board.
However, many other initiatives will be taken if the party comes to power said PCC President Birajit Sinha.
MLA Gopal Roy, Ashish Saha and Opposition Leader Sudip Roy Burman were also present.
