KAMALPUR, Nov 21 (TIWN): It remained nothing astonishing that, roads and bridges throughout the state still remained a matter of discord and public grudge. And every time before the election, the authority started works of renovation and maintenance. Keeping this tradition on, the PWD (R&B) Kamalpur division started renovation work of Kamalpur-Fulchari bye-pass road from today.
The road entirely fell under the Nagar Panchayat area touching wards numbered 4, 6, 7 and 8. Throughout the year, the road remained filled with ditches and holes making movement very difficult. But after several knockings the authority not got time to do the required maintenance. And now as the Nagar Panchayat election came at the door hence the CPIM party found it as a problem to their victory.
They failed to provide a smooth movable road to the inhabitants and now the road should be renovated. Hence, the PWD(R&B) division started renovation work today. The ditches got filled with brick chips and probably those would be black-topped tomorrow. But the quality and hurriedness of the work made it clear that the work would not last for more than six months.
