AGARTALA, Nov 20 (TIWN): The bleak scenario of Trinamool congress shows that, the party is lagging behind in the campaign process of election campaign. On the one hand where all the other political parties have gained momentum in the election campaign, it seems that Trinamool congress is not much hopeful to sweep the civic poll.
It is to be mentioned here that Trinamool congress on Thursday submitted the nomination for 10 candidates of AMC area for the civic polls. The nomination submission was followed by a rally which did not have much enthusiasm but moved across several parts of the city and placed nomination.
The last date for making nomination is on November 19 and the scrutiny will be done on the following day. Last date for the withdrawal of the nomination is set on November 23.
However, the Municipal election will held on December 9 and the counting will be conducted on December 12.
State chief election commissioner told reporters here that counting of votes for 5 lakhs, 37 thousand, and 986 voters would take place onDecember 12. Among them 2 lakhs, 69 thousands and 214 are male voters and 2 lakhs, 68 thousands and 754 are female voters.
