AGARTALA, Nov 19 (TIWN): DM (West) Millind Ramteke along with AMC task force and Zonal officer visited several spots under AMC area on Thursday to take a note of the status of the development work project undergoing or stopped in the areas.

Ramteke, along with the task force visited mainly the North Zone and the central Zone of the AMC areas and took a note of the of the work progress.

During the visit he inspected the status of the undergoing project, he also checked if the ongoing project is hampering the movement of the common man.

The visit was mainly aimed at looking for the availability of parking zones in the AMC areas. The facility of parking zone is mostly important as improper parking of vehicles including motor-bikes, car, in the no parking zone on the roadside causes inconvenience to smooth traffic movement, and more seriously to pedestrians.

Widened portions of the roads get fully occupied mostly in the evening for parking and create clogging on either side the road due to irregular parking of vehicles.

Apart from the development project he also checked if any people have dumped sand and iron rods or bricks along the roads which may hamper the movement of the traffic in the road.
