AGARTALA, Nov 18 (TIWN): Altogether 49 candidates of BJP for Agartala Municipal Corporation on Wednesday submitted their nomination papers to the Respective Returning Officers (ROs) followed by a rally at Agartala city.
“We are looking to sweep these elections. I don’t want to lose even a single seat, said BJP aspiring candidates.
While last date for submission of nominate will expire on November 19, the scrutiny would be done on the following day- November 20. Last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is slated for November 23.
While the elections would be held on December 9 and counting is schedule to take place on December 12 next.
It is to be mentioned here that the much crowd observed during the rallies of left front and congress, BJP did not have much of gathering in the rallies.
On the one hand where the ruling and opposition had thousands of supporters in their rallies during filing nominations, BJP hardly had a gathering of hundred people.
However, the BJP candidates are much hopeful for their victory in the election. The candidates also said that the victory of BJP will bring good governance in the state.
