AGARTALA / KAMALPUR, Nov 15 (TIWN): Road accidents, one of the leading cause of death globally, day by day increasing here in Tripura, especially across the National Highway, due to lack of maintenance & poor traffic system. Although hundred of laws are made in support of road-safety, but public and police both are unwilling to take this matter seriously.
On Sunday morning a bus bearing no TR-01B-1246 from Agartala to Kamalpur overturned, at Lungthaicherra area. At around 15 passengers received simple/grievous injured, who are presently under treatment at Teliamura Hospital.
According to the reports, 4 injured passengers out of them were shifted to GBP Hospital for better treatment. The accident occurred due over speed. However, necessary actions are being taken by the Police.
