AGARTALA, Nov 15 (TIWN): National Institute of Technology Agartala on Saturday organized the 8th Annual Convocation at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan.

Chairman of All India Council for technical Education) – Professor Dr. Anil D Sahasrabudhe was present as chief guest in the convocation programme. Chairman, Board of Governors of NIT Agartala Padma professor Deepak B. Phatak preside over the programme.

This year, a total of 590 B. Tech, 222 M. Tech, 10 MBA, 16 MSc and 10 MCA students were handed over degrees. A total of 21 PhD scholars were awarded in the programme. A total of 20 students have been honoured with gold medal.

Among the Gold medal list- Civil Engineer Sirshendu Das, Mechanical Engg Abhishek Patel, Electrical Engg Mouli Karmakar, Computer Scince and engg Sujata Sinha, Electronics and Instrumentation Engg Siddhartha Singh, Production Engg Souradeep Kundu and Chemical Engg Abhishek Shishodia from the B. Tech Branch. Sankha Subra Bhattacharjee of Electronics and Communication Engg of B. Tech Institute was awarded with gold medal.
