AGARTALA, Nov 13 (TIWN): Three-day long Brahmakunda mela has been scheduled to organize on November 25 at Brahmakunda.
The programme programme will organized with the joint initiatives of the Information and Cultural Affairs and Brahmakunda mela committee.
During a preparatory meeting organized recently, MLA Pranab Debbarma has been selected as the president of the mela committee. It has been decided that the stalls for the fair will be distributed on November 22 and 23.
With an aim to accomplish the fair peacefully and successfully, a special executive committee was formed consisting of 70-members with Pranab Debbarma as president and Mohanpur Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Dhiraj Debbarma as convener.
Brahmakunda Mela is celebrated at the Shiva temple at Brahmakunda in Tripura. Devotees take holy bath in a stream at Simna and pay homage to river Ganges.
Brahmakunda is situated at a distance of 48 km from Agartala.
