AGARTALA, Nov 6 (TIWN): CPI-M Khowai District Committee has announced the list of the candidates for two Municipal Councils of two sub-divisions.

As per the announcement, among all 15 candidates, altogether 10 are new faces have been introduced for the upcoming election.

Reportedly, the candidates of the Khowai Municipal Council are- Janaki Bal Debnath (ward no.- 1), Rabindra Banerjee (ward no.- 2), Piyali Bhattacharjee (ward no.- 3), Chandan Das (ward no.- 4), Sukla Sengupta (ward no.- 5), Lila Rani Das (ward no.- 6), Banabir Debbarma (ward no.- 7), Kankan Purkayasta (ward no.- 8), Mani Sukla Das (ward no.- 9), Kanan Datta (ward no.- 10), Shefali Rani Gope (ward no.- 11), Sudhir Ranjan Choudhury (ward no.- 12), Jayanta Acharjee (ward no.- 13), Animesh Roy (ward no.- 14) and Sushen Kumar Das (ward no.- 15).

Along with the candidates of the Khowai Municipal Council, the party also declared the name of the candidates of Teliamura Municipal Council. They are Sutapa Mallik (ward no.- 1), Uttam Sarkar (ward no.- 2), Manju Hrishi Das (ward no.- 3), Smriti Roy (ward no.- 4), Joydeb Guha (ward no.- 5), Rita Rani Das (ward no.- 6), Kanouj Kar (ward no.- 7), Sandhya Roy (ward no.- 8), Uttam Ghosh (ward no.- 9), Priyanka Das (ward no.- 10), Sajal Kumar Dey (ward no.- 11), Ratna Das (ward no.- 12), Sukhendu Bikash Das (ward no.- 13), Shyamal Malakar (ward no.- 14) and Pramod Kumar Baishya (ward no.- 15).
