CHORAIBARI, Nov 4 (TIWN): Dharmanagar Local court sent 3 fuel theft to 14 days jail custody in connection with stealing fuel from goods truck at Churaibari Sales Tax gate.
Police of Churaibari Police Station apprehended a group of thieves while stealing diesel from vehicles near Churaibari Sales Tax gate at night. It was reported that daily Rampant theft of fuel since days has been reported from the lorries carrying goods near Churaibari Sales Tax gate. Miscreants almost every night steal diesel/petrol from the lorries and sell the fuel and it is their day today business.
Most of the vehicle owners of Choraibari were the victim of those miscreants for long. Alike other days, the miscreants arrived there to steal fuel but were caught red handed. The thieves were identified as- Afzal Ali (28), son of Abdul Zalil; Indrish Ali (31), son of Iasin Ali and Zamir Uddin (19), son of Alauddin. Afzal and Indrish belong to Fulbari village ward no. 1 under Churaibari Police Station. Zamir Uddin is the resident of Nadiapur village ward no. 6. A case was registered against the arrested persons bearing case no. 39/15 under section 379 of IPC.
They were produced before the court and the court sent them to 14 days jail custody. Besides, the police also seized the Magic car bearing number TR05A-1562 used in conducting theft and also seized 100 litres of petrol from the car.
