AGARTALA, Nov 4 (TIWN): along with the selection of the party organizational members, BJP is gearing up for the Nagar Panchayat and Municipal Election.
Keeping eye on the ensuing elections, BJP has selected 17 observers for 89 centres. Each observer will be given responsibility of three centres.
The observers will discuss about the election with President of the Sadar District and the Mandal Committee to preside over it.
Among the observers, Former President of the BJP Manoj Kanti Deb, General Secretary Pulak Debnath, Rajiv Bhattacharjee, Ram Prasad Paul, Tapas Majumder, Kamal Dey, Joydeep Chakraborty, Arun Kanti Bhowmik, Jahar Saha, Sujit Banarjee, Ratan Ghosh, Bishnu Debbarma, Sattabrata Paul, Dr, Dilip Das, Joyeshree Sharma and Nilima Ghosh.
In order to encourage the women in the party, under the leadership of the Jayeshree Sharma eleven members committee has been formed.
On the other hand, under the leadership of Party Spokes Person Arun Kanti Bhowmik a six member committee was formed to publish necessary leaflets for the party.
Besides, to look after the work of various Nagar Panchayat and Municipal area the representatives were given work.
The responsibility of the Bishalgarh area has been given to the Tapas Bhattacharjee, Khowai and Mohanpur to Tapas Majumder, Ranirbazaar and Jirania to Bidyut Ghosh.
Besides, the responsibility of Melagarh and Sonamura has been given to Sanjib Bhattacharjee, Udaipur area to Biplab Deb and Santirbazaar to Parikhita Debbarma. Belonia and Sabroom will be under the observance of Subal Bhowmik, Dharmanagar and Kumarghat under Gouranga Paul, Amarpur by Mashusudhan Bhattacharjee and Kamalpur by Sajal Acharjee.
