AGARTALA, Nov 2 (TIWN): To press higher for the fulfillment of the demands, Tripura Madrassa (SPQEM) Teachers’ Association has been scheduled to hold a 5-hour long mass demonstration on November 4.
It has been mentioned that despite of placing several demands to the State Government and the Central Government by the Tripura Madrassa (SPQEM) Teachers’ Association, till day no initiatives have been taken in favour of association.
Expressing resentment State Secretary Sah Amal said that the state government has left the association deprived of their rights.
An advisory committee on 31/ 12/ 2009 decided to create the Tripura Madrassa Teachers’ Association. In the year 2012, 272 teachers were recruited. In the year 2013, the salary of Rs. 10, 000 has been reduced to Rs. 6, 000.
However, they will be demanding to regularize all the Madrassa teachers according to recommendation of Madrassa Advisory Committee on December 31.
Their demands also includes 129 SPQEM Madrassa under Grand –in – aid scheme, to set up a degree level Madrassa College for higher studies of Fazil qualified students in 2015-16, to pay honorarium to Honours Graduate SPQEM teachers as per the advertisement of Government of Tripura, to improve the honorarium of Under Graduate teachers, to avail all benefits of SPQEM teachers according to that of state government employees.
