AGARTALA, Oct 29 (TIWN):To prepare road map for the ensuing AMC, Municipal and NagarPanchayat election, state committee of CPI(M) have convened a two days meeting. The meeting will start from October 31. The state committee will discuss on the names proposed by divisional committees of the party and will give final approval. Besides issues like final voter list and delimitation will also be discussed in the meeting.
In 2010, congress party with no organization have won Sabroom and Ambassa nagar panchayat, it was taken as surprise by ruling CPI(M) party. This time the state committee will not take any chances, they want to win all urban bodies with thumping majorities.Besides the party is in difficult in finding women candidates for the party due to 50 percent reservation for women.
The election for all urban bodies schedule to held on second week of December. Meanwhile, claims and objection of electoral ends on Wednesday. The final photo voter lists will be published on November 4. The tenure of urban bodies ends on December 21 next. Before the end of tenure new elected bodies have to be formed. The final exam of state government schools is schedule to start from first week of December. But the school department has resehduled the date, now exam will start from third week of November.
