AGARTALA, Oct 28 (TIWN): Keeping eye on the ensuing Municipal polls, Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) on Wednesday hold a review meeting under the initiative of the AMC Mayor Prafullajit Sinha to discuss the progress of the work in the municipality areas for the betterment of the people.
A joint meeting with all the councillors and senior officials of AMC to discuss status of various developmental works across the city was held at City centre society. The meeting highlighted the status of the development work and the problems faced in completing them. The meeting was also aimed at a direct interaction between the Mayor, Councillors, officials for better coordination and speedy completion of projects.
Speaking at the meeting, AMC Mayor Prafullajit Sinha said that AMC has always remain 100 percent successful in completing the developmental work in the municipal areas and if they resume their chair again in the municipal polls they will look forward to speedy completion of the work in the AMC areas for the betterment of the people.
AMC Mayor Prafuulajit Sinha also discussed on the steps to be taken for the improvement of the basic amenities of the AMC areas for the betterment of the people residing in the AMC areas.
AMC will look forward to improve and provide 24×7 water supply, 100 per cent sewerage, drainage and solid waste management facilities, besides top class infrastructure.
Continuous supply of water effective garbage collection and treatment of garbage and sewage are some of the essential components that AMC will develop in the coming days, added AMC Mayor Prafullajit Sinha.
However Deputy Mayor Samar Chakraborty, the councillors along with other dignitaries remained present in the program.
