AGARTALA, Oct 27 (TIWN): Tripura Pradesh Congress Schedule Caste Department on Tuesday questioned over the silence role played by the NDA lead BJP Government over the remarks of Union Minister VK Singh on killing of two Dalit children.
Speaking in a press conference, convener Subodh Chandra Das said that along with the Nation Tripura Pradesh Congress Schedule Caste Department condemns over the remark made by the Union Minister VK Singh.
Reacting strongly over the incident during a press conference at Congress Bhawan , Tripura Pradesh Congress Schedule Caste Department demanded resignation of Union Minister VK Singh.
Mentioning the remark, Subodh Chandra Das said that while talking to media Union Minister VK Singh said that if someone throws stones at a dog, the government is not responsible. It was a feud between two families, the matter in under inquiry.
However, it has been mentioned that two children were burnt alive while their mother sustained burns and is in a critical condition when their house was set on fire in Haryana's Faridabad district on October 20.
Condemning over the remark of the Union Minister VK Singh said that how a union minister can give such kind of remarks over a critical situation faced by a dalit family at Sunperh under Faridabad district.
However, criticizing the remark at the press conference, members of Tripura Pradesh Congress Schedule Caste Department said that Union Minister VK Singh does not deserve the position, who reflects anti-dalit mentality and demanded resignation.
