Teliamura, Oct 26 (TIWN) Tripura has been ashamed by yet another gang rape incident. Police apprehended 2 youth among other culprits on Sunday over complaints of rape of one tribal girl in Telimura. The victim aged 15 was raped at Kunjamura under Telimura PS last Saturday at 9.30 PM. The injured girl returned home on the night only to narrate the nightmare she experienced during captivity.“We have apprehended 2 youth among other culprits and search is on for rest others. We have acted on basis of complaints received first from the families and then from the girl”, Investigating Officer said to TIWN.

 “Gang rape of the girl was confirmed in medical tests. She is now under Treatment at Telimura Hospital”,  investigating Officer informed. During captivity the girl were tortured. She somehow managed to flee and saved her life. Incidents of all sort of crime, mainly rape, are recurrently occurring against women in Tripura. The national crime record bureau in its last annual report listed the incidents.
