KAMALPUR, Oct 13, (TIWN): Although the present State government and administration often claimed for implementing eco-friendly and pollution-free work culture in the State, during science fairs and seminars the actual scenario and prevailing work culture tells something different.
Around the state old system of black-top carpeting of roads continued at full swing including burning of woods, emission of thick smoke from the bitumen continued to pollute the environment. Further it also caused serious health hazards to the workers and people around. Same scene prevailed in four different places today.
In front of Kamalpur Government Degree College some workers found busy in melting the bitumen. None of the high official from PWD(R&B) Kamalpur division were present there and interestingly the so-called preachers of the pollution-free Tripura and working-class friendly rulers seemed not concerned at all.
