AGARTALA, Oct 10 (TIWN): As a part of National level Health and Cleanliness Abhiyan, a colourful rally has been organized on Saturday. Welfare of Scheduled Caste Minister Ratan Bhowmik inaugurated the rally which has walked across the capital.
Addressing the students in the rally, Minister Ratan Bhowmik said that it is important that people should keep their surrounding clean to keep diseases away. Stressing on the cleanliness measure, Minister Bhowmik said that if the people take the initiatives to keep the surrounding clean than it will help them to stay away from diseases and they have to visit the doctors less.
Besides, he urged the students of several schools who have participated in the rally to take safe and clean drinking water so that they can save themselves from the various water borne diseases.
However, he also urged the students to spread the message among the others so that other can also know about the various precautions against the water borne diseases and the diseases caused due to unclean surrounding.
Students of various schools have participated in the rally which has started from Umakanta Academy.
