AGARTALA, Oct 7 (TIWN): With five point charters of demands, the Twipra Students Federation on Wednesday hold a massive rally cum deputation at Agartala and placed deputation to the Additional Governor of the state Keshari Nath Triptahi.
The agitators took out a procession along the main thoroughfare in the city under heavy security arrangement the district administration, which was bent upon keeping the procession peaceful and thwarting any attempt by vested forces to create trouble.
The rally began from Vivekananda stadium and ended in front of the circuit house and placed the deputation.
Obstructing allotment of any land to the non-triblas in the ADC areas, Demanding the ST eligible candidates to be recommended by the government of Tripura to the reserved post of the Assistant professors in the general degree colleges run by the government of Tripura in connection with the TPSC vide and advertisement no:08/2014 (item no.01) at the earliest, opposing the setting up of ‘Firing Range of Indian Army’ in the milieu of manikpur, Chamanu and its adjacent areas as it will ignite a colossal consequences as there are more than 15000 populations from 3000 families as many as 9 ADC villages will be badly affected, raising voice against the unabated infiltration of foreign nationals into Tripura especially in the TTAADC area as it any change the demographic pattern and urging the union government of India for the introduction of the inner line permit Act in TTAADC, along with a total of 5 charter point of demands the Twipra Students Federation on Wednesday hold a massive rally and placed deputation to the governor of the state.
The authorities of the TSF urged upon the indigenous peoples of the north eastern region to be alert, vigilant and wary of the influx if illegal migrants lest we will be reduced to a minority in our own land and we should not allow this to happen by taking pro active steps before it is too late.
