AGARTALA, Oct 7 (TIWN): Utter mismanagement is another name of Tripura's lackluster Govt and administration. At last petrol pumps of Agartala city found available with petrol. Petrol pumps which were hanged with “No-Petrol†have been providing petrol to the purchasers.
Due to shortage of petrol state was suffering badly since almost 1 month, which seems to be ended with the availability of petrol once again at the pumps.
Several areas of the state Tripura from North to South regions were facing petrol shortage due to delayed supplies of petrol as the NH-44 was closed. However, state also suffered frequently due to shortage of petrol after the alternative road of NH-44 was opened more than a week before.
Although Transport Dept.’s officials said about the enough stock of petrol in every petrol pumps (20-25) Kl, but petrol pumps workers could not supply fuel to its customers by saying that due to NH-44’s blockade, petrol are unavailable in market.
Pumps of Tripura were running out of stock. If one day it was of petrol, then another day it is diesel. For the last three weeks or so, the condition remained same. But the heavy demand during that time, were fulfilled through black marketing of fuel.
However, with the availability of petrol once again in the market, public got a relief. Now people are busy to make the extra petrol stock at home, by collecting it from Petrol Pumps as nobody knows may be next day onwards the problem would start again.
