AGARTALA, October 7 (TIWN): Only few days left of the awaiting celebration of the Durga Puja, artisans all across the state are busy to accomplish their task before the dead line.
With a budget of more than Rs. 28 lakh, Chatro Bandhu Club is all set to kick-off the auspicious occasion of the Durga Puja celebration this year. Like any other years, this year also they have come up with an innovative idea to attract the crowd and a social message.
Indian Bengali singer, songwriter and composer, well known for his modern Bengali lyrics and natural mode of singing Nachiketa Chakraborty is expected to inaugurate the pandal in the presence of 50 women of Old Age home of Barjala ‘Apna Ghar’.
This year Chatro Bandhu club bang on with a theme of ‘old age’. Spreading a social message the club will focuses the parents who have been taking care of their children for their whole life and how the same child left their parents alone when they grow old.
The pandal has the scenario all around from the birth of a child till they grow young and how the parents take care of their child.
Besides, five gates of different well-known architect will also be displayed to add stars in the decorations and to attract the eyes.
The five gates include, Dakshineswar, Bhoot Bungla, Mohamanob, Howrah Bridge and Statue of Liberty.
“The pandal is made up of wooden waste and many other materials which are not useful and will be eco friendly”, said Indrajit hailed from Kolkata. He further stated that they are also going to use some international flowers to give a bright look to the decoration.
However, around 40 workers are busy in accomplishing the work.
Theme of the Durga Puja is the essence of the festival. The concept of theme has become so important these days that different clubs go beyond expectations to create an outstanding pandal. Durga puja is the festival of happiness; it is the festival where the Hindus celebrate the victory of good over evil.
