AGARTALA, Oct 6 (TIWN): In a desperate attempt to nab a vacancy in the Tahasil Department, thousands of job seekers queued up from early morning at Umakanta Academy.
Reportedly, more than three thousand candidates queued up to grab a post among 404 vacancies in the Tahasil Department from morning.
The job hopefuls began queuing from morning before the office time for a Government job on Tuesday.
It has been observed the both the queues of boys and girls were very long and had been eagerly waiting for their turn in the scorching heat.
However, the scenario of huge crowd job seekers in front of the Department gave an estimate number of educated unemployed in the state. As the State lacks proper opportunities for the youth and besides, the youth do not have option to work in any private sectors where they can use their skills and also do not had to stay unemployed.
There was a huge crowd observed inside at the corridors of the Department offices in scorching heat. Candidates had to wait for their number for long hours as the queue of the job seekers was very long.
Though the number of literacy is increasing day by day in the state, the number of unemployment are also increasing on the other hand, complaints a candidate.
However, it has been seen that every time an advertisement blinks in the Government website and publishes in the newspapers huge number of candidates queues up just to grab a post. The State Government where claims that initiatives must be taken to decrease unemployment on the other hand they are not bothered to get an employment.
