AGARTALA, September 28 (TIWN): A seminar on Nation-Wide Sanitation/ Cleanliness Campaign has been organized on Monday at Nazrul Kalashetra.

During the programme, PWD Minister Ratan Bhowmik, DM (West) Milind Ramteke, District Sabadhipati of West Tripura Dilip Das and others were present at the programme.

The programme has been organized aiming to aware the people about the cleanliness which can keep them free from various kind of communicable and Non-Communicable disease.  

During the programme, the participants were introduced to various majors of cleanliness. The majors include, hands should be washed before having food, and water should be taken in clean vessels and should have safe drinking water so that people could remain safe from various diseases from water and germs.

To ensure clean and eco-friendly surrounding in the State, the members have urged to bury the waste materials a distance away from the house and keep the surrounding of the house clean.

Besides, it has been suggested to keep the water supply area clean so that no germs and water borne diseases breads on it and spreads diseases all over. However, people were urged to use proper sanitation as most of the diseases like diarrhea and many other diseases occur due to improper sanitation.
