Sabroom, Sep 26 (TIWN): Delayed NREGA payments drive workers to suicide in this Manik Golden era. Poor people here engage themselves in MGNREGA works with the hopes that the employment guarantor will help them to get two meals a day. One worker namely Rita Mala Tripura(50) of Nalsing Sardar Para of Kaladepha Gram Panchayat under Satchand RD Block hanged herself, due to unpaid wages of her which created much financial crisis at her family.

According to source, Rita Mala Tripura met several time to Panchayat Secretary and Bank Manager regarding payment issue. But nobody took that matter seriously and extended their helping hand towards her.
