Agartala, Sep 26 (TIWN): Although lately, but state govt. has finally decided to open the only alternative way of NH-44 by which goods may be exported and imported here in the state easily. Although Tripura has another alternative way of entrance, still since long days goods had been found rotten on Assam-Agartala road, as vehicles were stranded along the NH-44 highway.
The alternative way of NH-44 is known as N H C Road. Expectedly from Friday this road will be opened for the benefit of the people, as due to NH-44’s pathetic condition foods within the vehicles has been rotten on the way. As a result market price of vegetables had also went high. With this alternative’s road’s opening the price hike may also be lowered, says report.
However, question has been aroused why the govt. didn’t take the initiative of the alternative road, although it had the options.
Minister Bhanulal Saha, while talking to the media on Thursday mentioned, “Due to NH-44’s bad shape thousands of vehicles are stuck on the road, among which 250 of vehicles carrying petrol and gas”. Saha added, “N H C road will be opened for 1 month from Friday”.
However, it has also been announced that first the petrol and gas bearing vehicles will be releases and after that only the vehicles carrying goods will enter here.
