AGARTALA, Sept 22 (TIWN): Few changes in the VAT tax has been brought according to the Cabinet decision here on Tuesday. Minister Bhanulal Saha said on the Cabinet meeting that 5 percent tax will be decreased in the case of old and second hand car purchasing.

In total of 6 departments will be benefited due to this including Higher Education Department, Municipality, Forest Dept., Transport Dept and School Education Dept.

The Rural Programme Manager’s posts which has been made under Panchayat Departments will be brought under Service rule.

In total 41 posts has been newly created amongst which 1 Deputy Chief Election Officer,  1 Asst. Chief Election Officer, 1 programmer, 2 Asst. Programmer and 36 data entry operator.

In tribal welfare Dept. in the post of TRPO and PGT in toat 20 people will be appointed: 2 programme officer, 10 programme assistant, 9 Mali cum Watcher are vacant post.

At the end of the meet it was announced that the retirement time has been increased for Tripura govt. Medical College faculties. From now onwards their job duration will be ended at 65, instaed of 60.
