AGARTALA, September 14 (TIWN): Tripura Apex Fishery Co-operation Society Limited on Monday organized an annual general meeting at Fish Health Investigation Centre.
The programme has been inaugurated by Fishery Minister Khagendra Jamatia in the presence of MLA Sudhan Das, MLA Manindra Das, Dilip Das and the members of the Tripura Apex Fishery Co-operation Society Limited.
During the programme, it has been mentioned that the TAFCSL has been formed with an aim to provide opportunities and to financially develop the farmers who are dependent on fish farming.
Altogether there are 142 Fisheries Co-operative Society at present but only the members of 55 Societies could be enrolled.
It has been mentioned that at present an economic depression is going on in the world. Therefore, in the year 2007 the service tax of the fish food and other items has been decreased to 5 percent.
Therefore, it has lead to the deficiency of the allotment among the employees.
And this time the Department has called for tender. At the tender presentation the Co-operation has also participated but as the Co-operation could not manage the earnest money, they were denied to supply any kind of goods.
However, it has been mentioned that with the enforcement of the Tripura Co-operative Development Incentive Scheme 2015 under which the no Earnest Money is required and many other facilities will be available under it.
