KAMALPUR, SEPTEMBER 11, (TIWN): National Food Security Act, implemented for ensuring food to every citizen turned into a nightmare to many in the subdivision of Kamalpur for party-raj of the local leaders and members of the autonomous bodies. The inhumanity and the shameless presentation of party-raj has become so acute that even an octogenarian lady is deprived from the facility.
Jayban Bibi (80) of Ganganagar under Baligaon panchayat was not selected for the priority list of the Baligaon panchayat. This helpless lady even having a BPL card remained deprived.
Her husband had passed away long ago. Now she dwelt with her daughter. She had a BPL card numbered 2157. Still when she went to the panchayat to know about her status in the priority list she became numbed up. She found the names of many affluent persons in the list. But her name not got any position in the list. The lady who bore the red flag of the party throughout her life with a dream of a well-off life got back the severe jolt of being her food insecure. What an administration!
