Agartala, Sep 10 (TIWN/IANS) Six women teachers of a government-run school here were transferred for dancing in an indecent manner in the school campus in front of the students, an official said on Wednesday.
"The school education department had last week served show cause notices to the six teachers, including the headmistress of the Khudiram Bose English medium school, after media made public the photographs of the teachers dancing in a very indecent manner," an official of the school education department said.
He said scenes of the teachers' dancing to movie songs reportedly under the influence of liquor were caught on the cameras of the local television channels.
"The six teachers are transferred in faraway places and the department warned them against doing such acts in future," the official said, adding that the action was taken under instructions of education minister Tapan Chakraborty.
