KAMALPUR, SEPTEMBER 9, (TIWN): The selection of NFSA priority list came under serious allegation of party-raj in the sub-division. The selection of beneficiaries under the Nagar Panchayat as well as Gram panchayats revealed extreme and shameless party legacy.

The opposition parties and commoners alleged the local autonomous bodies for such deprivation.

Recently the implementation of NFSA in the state led to the selection of beneficiaries for priority. And in doing so, the local autonomous bodies prepared the lists from the viewpoint of party identity. In the Nagar Panchayat area many affluent money lenders and well off contractors and businessmen like Swapan Majumder and Prasanta Saha in ward number 06, Padmini Sinha in ward number 01, Central government employee families and government pension holders like Panna Paitya in ward number 05 came under priority.

In different Gram panchayats the selection of beneficiaries were also done following the same party measure. Although Congress and BJP protested factually against these party-raj but the administration seemed in a mood to overlook all these irregularities for the sake of ruling party.
