AGARTALA, September 8 (TIWN): Barely the Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy attacked for Yakub Memon Tweet previous month, yet another tweet of Roy, “Whatever gave you notion I am secular? I am a Hindu” sparked off another controversy in the state recently. Roy’s remark has come up in reply to a tweet by a Dubai based man Arun Nambiar, currently fight the Fascist Indian Government.

However reacting to Roy’s tweet the ruling CPI-M state general secretary Bijan Dhar clarified saying, “Mr. Roy is simply dishonouring the constitution whereas as a Governor he was supposed to protect it.” Adding to that Sinha said, “It is really unexpected from a man holding a constitutional post.”

It is to be mentioned here that earlier Roy has provoked sharp criticism for a series of tweets on terrorist Yakub Memon, who was hanged yesterday for his role in the 1993 blasts in Mumbai.

The Governor's tweets have fuelled sharp reactions with the congress, CPI-M and other opposition parties said, “Being a Governor Roy was not supposed to speak such things in public.”
