AGARTALA, September 6 (TIWN): With a target of 15, 000 people to be brought under Hepatitis vaccination, on Sunday a team of five members has provided vaccination in 35 wards of Agartala Municipal Corporation.
The first session of hepatitis vaccination has been done on Sunday. However, the date for the following vaccination will be informed soon.
The programme of vaccinating the people has continued till 2pm in the afternoon. Later the reports of the number of population will be submitted to the Hepatitis Foundation of Tripura so that they can found out that whether they have successfully covered the target the number or not.
It has been mentioned that till the age of 10-year the vaccination will cost Rs. 30 and the above 10-year of age will cost Rs. 60.
Hepatitis is a medical condition defined by the inflammation of the liver and characterized by the presence of inflammatory cells in the tissue of the organ.
Hepatitis may occur with limited or no symptoms, but often leads to jaundice, poor appetite, and malaise. Hepatitis is acute when it lasts less than six months and chronic when it persists longer.
Acute hepatitis can be self-limiting that is healing on its own, can progress to chronic hepatitis, or rarely, can cause acute liver failure.
