AGARTALA, September 2 (TIWN): According to the decision taken in a review meeting, special survey of basic literacy from the age 15-50 at the Dhalai District which has started from the August 31 and will continue till September 20, informed an official on Wednesday.
A review will be done over the special survey work of basic literacy for the further progress. During the special survey teachers of Primary schools and workers of Anganwadi will be associated, in formed an official here on Wednesday.
During the meeting, it has been mentioned that among the 2921 newly literate people, the departments like agriculture, horticulture, fishery, animal husbandry, sericulture, TRPC, forest and others will be providing with various initiatives.
At the meeting it has been decided that keeping eye on the upcoming International Literacy Day on September 8, East District Village Panchayat, Village and Ward based Literacy Committee will be created.
However, on September 8 along with the whole state, various districts, Block, Village Panchayat and others will also celebrate the International Literacy day.
The meeting was presided over by District Council Deputy Sabadhipati Nagendra Nama Shudra. MLA Nirajoy Tripura, Chairman of Ambassa Panchayat Samiti Chairman Tapati Bhattacharjee and others were present at the meeting.
