AGARTALA, Sept 1 (TIWN): Pressing higher for their demand, NSUI on Tuesday 'gheraod' Higher Education Director B Palit demanding photo identity proof in the voters list, to allow media persons in the counting hall on the day counting, or to postponed the date of the students council election.

NSUI continued their gheroued for more than one hour and placed their demand to Higher Education Director B Palit at his own office.

Addressing the media, NSUI president Bapi Das said that it has come to notice that serious discrepancy is committed in the college council election and hence the NSUI is demanding photo proof voter identification card. He also said that serious discrepancy occurs during the counting and to check the discrepancy it is mandatory to allow media person in the counting hall.

He further said that if their demands are not fulfilled they will move for a massive protest.

However, NSUI general secretary Gaurav Chakraborty, President Bapi Das along with other dignitaries remained present in the program.
