AGARTALA, August 31 (TIWN): Despite Tripura is connected with several power projects of the state and the various other power plants in Northeast, the power scenario of the state has grimed followed by low voltage and daily load shedding.Although, as per the direction of Central Power Act, 2003, the TPGL was formed in view of getting all the existing power plants run smooth.Tripura Power Generation Limited (TPGL) has been formed recently as per the direction of Central Power Act, 2003. Altogether, there are 274 village areas where the people are facing difficulty due to the low voltage, according to the official report.However, the places which are mostly affected due to with low voltage are- Mohanpur Division where 23 village areas are facing the problem of low voltage. Besides, 28 areas of Kamalpur, 24 of Ambassa and 29 areas of Sabroom are also highly affected with low voltage.There are many other village areas which are facing low voltage- Santir Bazzaar, Beloia, Jumpui Jala, Bishalgarh, Kumarghat Kailashahar, Kanchanpur Dharmanagar and many other areas.Load shedding problem and low voltage is continuing in the various parts of the state, State Power Department failed to overcome the poor condition of the state power supply.
According to the official report, the Tripura Power Generation Limited has been just formed recently. Therefore, the infrastructure is not yet fully constructed.
However, the story of the Power scenario of the state has become interesting despite the facts that state is being connected with a total of 726 MW of power, the state is facing load shedding and low voltage resulting suffering for people.
