Sarkar was replying to the question of media on Wednesday at the civil secretariat. On being asked Sarkar said that the activities by the NLFTs which still prevails in the state cannot be tolerated at any cost.
“Bijoy Hrankhawal from Tripura and the then Chief Minister of Mizoram, Zoramthanga were made the NLFT’s interlocutor,” adding Sarkar said “The state do not have any problem with this rather the state wants peace in this sector as well as in the entire northeastern region.”
The state government is always in favour of peace talks among the centre, state and NLFT representatives, he said.
“I also do not find any output from the already concluded two phased peace talks as on one hand the NLFTs sounds to shun violence and retain back to their normal life and on the other the insurgent activities still prevails in the state,” Sarkar told reporters.
