AGARTALA, August 26 (TIWN): Under the project of RGGVY 12th plan, Villages under Mungiakami Block including Karachora to Nonachora Prajabahadur Molsom area to be connected with electricity.
In the age of so-called ‘golden era’ where every now and then the ministers never misses any chance to claim about the development of the interior areas of the state, it is alleged that about many of the areas in the rural areas are deprived of electricity and are spending days in wilderness.
Even after so many decades of independence there are many villages which do not have electricity.
Electricity has not yet reached in many villages under North Gokulnagar village committee area and initiative will be taken to connect many villages under the project of RGGVY 12th plan.
Day after day these families are spending days in critical condition and are not aware when they will get connected to electricity. They work hard and somehow arrange their two-square meal for their family members but they are not able to earn enough to live on, said a villager
However, it is expected that by the end of December 2016 these villages will be connected with electricity under RGGVY project
The localites stated that they have talked with concerned authority but no electric connection is provided to the houses.
They further stated that the reason behind such deplorable condition of this families are also because of the poor electricity system of the village, which is mandatory for renovation in the coming days which will further lay the path for the development.
The poor are at bottom of the pyramid of development and for development of the state it is important to strengthen the base of the pyramid. If they are empowered, no one can stop Tripura from development.
