AGARTALA, August 25 (TIWN): Aiming to revitalize the political status of Bharatiya janata Party Union Minister of State for Urban Development Babul Supriyo is scheduled to visit Tripura on August 26, as a part of his tour to parliament constituencies of the Left Front and Congress Member of Parliaments (MPs).
He would be accompanied by Bharatiya Janata Party’s Tripura observer– Sunil Deodhar.
BJP state president Sudhindra Dasgupta said that, Union minister Babul Supriyo is scheduled to address a massive rally at Paradise Chowmuhani on Wednesday. The rally will begin from 2 in the afternoon the rally is expecting more than thousand party workers and supporters in the rally.
As a part of his visit he would also attend a press meet at BJP office.
However, the meeting would be presided by BJP state president Sudindra Das gupta.
In his address, he would highlight the disruptions led by the Congress in Parliament which stalled the Land Acquisition Bill.
He would also speak on the failures of the Left Front government despite its regime in the state for more than a decade, said Dasgupta.
The party has recently constituted a 10-member committee ahead of coming civic elections to conduct weekly meetings. As a part of their campaign for the coming elections, Supriyo is scheduled to arrive in the state.
