BELONIA, August 22(TIWN): In a bizarre incident, a middle aged woman of Belonia Saatmura area is allegedly raped for past 7 months and the accused is yet absconding from the clutch of the cops.

The accused is identified as Jibon Acharjee (42).

Reportedly, the incident began from the month of February when the victim went to the house of accused Jibon Acharjee along with his 3 year old son as a domestic helper.

The victim left her in-laws house as her husband stayed out of station for work and to arrange to square meal for her son she started working as domestic helper.

After a few days from when the victim started working in the house of Jibon, he started to rape her. Whenever, she protested the accused beaten higher brutally and burnt her body at some times.

With the fear of losing her life, she remained silent.  Failing to scream out, the victim begged for her release from the hand of the accused but unfortunately Jibon did not bother to release her and tied her face with cloth every time and raped her.

Day after day, Jibon repeatedly raped her and with the fear of death she could never get the courage to escape from the hand of the rapist.

However, finally on Wednesday night the victim somehow managed to run away from Jibon’s house and rushed to Belonia Women police station. 

Even after carrying out the heinous crime the accused fled away from the spot on Thursday midnight, leaving the victim seriously injured.

Getting alarm about the incident the police rushed to Jibon’s house but unfortunately the police could not nab the accused and is yet absconding.

Following the incident, the victim family has lodged a complaint with Belonia women Police Station.

Police is further investigating the case.
