AGARTALA, August 20 (TIWN): Under Restructured Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Programme (R-APDRP) project, the work of providing underground electricity lane on around 2 kilometre of road of Amarpur City will start very soon, as per the official report.
Besides, the work of providing electricity through under ground is in progress at Agartala and other adjacent area, Ranir Bazaar, Sonamoora, Udaipur, Belonia, Teliamura, Khowai, Kumarghat, Kailashahar and Dharmanagar.
However, according to the official report, works of altogether 161.89 Kilometre of roads in the state were already done with the underground electricity lane.
Besides, 38, 999.11 Kilometre of road were covered with the electricity connection which is above the ground level.
Despite of covering huge area with electricity connection to facilitate the people of the state, the civilians are facing load shedding problem, frequently.
The streets lights which have been installed few months ago within 6months of duration started to flicker. Besides, there are families facing frequent load shedding.
According to the report published in the newspaper, there are many families who are suffering from fault electricity bill due to the negligence of the concern department.
Where the state is suffering from due to power disruption, there are areas where the street light are ‘on’ in the bright day light.
Though the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Ltd. has been set to facilitate the people with adequate amount the electricity in the state but the negligence of the concern department left the civilians to suffer.
However, in this golden era where the ruling Government has been assuring the public to develop the state, on the other hand families are facing blackout day due to the negligence of the Department.
