AGARTALA/ DELHI, August 18 (TIWN): Grieving upon the death of Subhra Mukharjee, W/O- Pranab Mukharjee, President of India; Tripura State Cong. leader Birajit Sinha says “I am deeply sad inside and conveying my respect to her, who was a great artist skilled in Rabindra Sangeet.”

“She was very close to us. With her death I am feeling that I have lost one of my close relatives”, says Sinha from Delhi. “As I am out of the state so my Cong. brothers will do all the necessary things to pay her tribute in my absence”, added Sinha.

Sinha also mentioned that she was not only a singer, but her knowledge was expanded to many fields as dance, recitation.

It’s to be mentioned that President Pranab Mukherjee's wife Suvra Mukherjee died on Tuesday. She was 74.

She was suffering since a long time and had brain hemorrhage recently and was removed from life support system on Tuesday morning.
