AGARTALA, August 17 (TIWN): A press meet has been organized by Santanu Debbarma, ICA Director at Agartala Press Club to promote the upcoming 'Festival of Plays by Young Theatre' namely "Navodit", at Nazrul Kalakshetra Auditorium, Agartala, which will be held from 18th to 26th August.

The Programme will be held with the initiatives of Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre in collaboration with ICA dept.; Pabitra Kar, Deputy speaker expectedly inaugurate the programme and Santanu Das, Secretary ICA dept will be present as the Chief guest whereas Ajit Majumdar would remain present as the Special guest who is well known as Senior drama-director. 

It's to be mentioned here that the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre has initiated this scheme for young artists of country covering Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Manipur, Odisha, Sikkim, Tripura, West Bengal and the Union Territory.

This schemes is to frame such programmes which would encourage and involve the youth of the Zone amongst themselves and the youth of the country in creative cultural communications through the process of seminars, exchanges, workshops and such other cultural activities relating to preservation, development and dissemination of cultural heritage of India.

In total 8 dramas are to be played from 18th April to 26th April by different groups and shaped by different directors.
