Agartala, August 17 (TIWN): With the initiative of Journalism & Mass communication department, the film and cultural society of NE and Indira Gandhi National centre for the arts, a two-day long Documentary Film Festival on Art and Culture is going to kick-off in Tripura University on 17 and 18 August at Maharaja Bir Bikram Satabarshiki Bhawan.
This is for the first time that such an initiative is taken by the department. The documentary film festival is one of the first of its kind where some of the famous documentaries made in the region will be screened.
The festival will be inaugurated by prof. Anjan kumar Ghosh, Vice Chancellor by switching on the logo of the festival.
The chairperson of the organization committee of the festival; Sanit Debroy joint Registrar Tripura University will be dwelling upon the problems and prospects of documentary film makers and media entrepreneurs of the state.
The two day long film festival is expected to ignite a spark of love and inspiration among the youth and budding film makers of the state.
