KAMALPUR, AUGUST 15, (TIWN): Kamalpur police attained a great success against contrabands widespreads, under the new OC Swapan Sengupta here on Saturday.

Police conducted a raid in the shop of one Dipak Ghosh who was twice nabbed by police earlier regarding the business of contrabands, police once again nabbed him with contrabands and huge cash.

On the independence day, police led by OC Swapan Sengupta raided the stationery shop of Dipak at Fulchari bazzar opposite to Fire Service station. From the shop police seized 11 bottles of  contraband cough syrup Corex, huge quantity of Spasmo proxyvon capsules and 2, 17, 0000 rupees in cash. At once police arrested Dipak. On the spot OC told the media persons, “Dipak was arrested twice earlier. This time he will be booked under stringent law. Police will continue raids against any such illegal business and spoiling the society.”
