AGARTALA, August 13 (TIWN): The year long celebration of Golden Jubilee Festival is to be ended with the closing ceremony programme. The programme will be held on Friday morning in the presence of Governor Tathagata Roy as the chief guest.
Dignitaries as Prof, Khaleda Ekram, Vice-chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) as the guest of honor, Padma Shri Deepak B. Patak as the BOG, NIT Agartala, as the chairman would remain present during the occasion.
The newly constructed Bharat Ratna APJ Abdul Kalam Block will also be inaugurated on the occasion of Valedictory Function of golden jubilee celebration. This newly made block will be utilized by Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department of NIT Agartala.
This block contains five different floors, along with modern facilities.
It’s to be mentioned that this institution started its journey on 15th August as Tripura Engineering College (TEC), which is now converted from a state Engineering College to National Institute of Technology in 2006.
NIT Agartala Alumni Association has taken various initiatives for weaklong programme on the occasion of Golden Jubilee of NIT Agartala. In this regard Director of NIT said, “NIT Agartala is contributing academically as per with top technical Institute of the country.”
