KAMALPUR, August 11 (TIWN): Like other parts of the State, police adopted stringent measure to prevent any untoward incident regarding the ensuing Independence Day here at Kamalpur also.

 The Indo-Bangla border area already got tightened in the subdivision. The special branches and police with security intelligence branches got busy in keeping tight vigil around the sub-division. Amidst those, a security search operation got conducted here today.

The second officer of Kamalpur police station SI Uddhab Debbarma informed that, as per the instructions and requirement the security squad conducted the search operation.

The team with metal detector conducted search operations at Kamalpur Bus Terminus, Court area, Kamalpur market and some other important places. In view of the capital punishment of Yakub Memon and threats thereafter from different factional forces, the security got tightened around the country and state.
