KAILASHAHAR, August 10 (TIWN): Raising voice against the rampant corruption in various parts of the state specifically against the MGNREGA scam, on Monday eleven members of Deuracherra ADC Village joined Congress party.
District Congress Sabhadhipati Bodorudh Jaman while welcoming the members to the party stated that the Left Government has withdrawn the entire fund that is Rs. 4 crore though nearly one-third of the work has been done under MGNREGA.
He also said that the ruling government has misappropriated Rs. 20 lakh in the name of making boards which are kept in front of the working area.
The CPM branch committee member Jira Darlong has left the CPM party and joined the Congress party.
The other who have joined the congress party are- Naliyana Darlong, Beyani Darlong, Bhoomi Darlong, Khana Darlong and six others.
The Congress earlier sought the intervention regarding the partisan in Food Security beneficiaries. They also highlighted the pitiable condition of the government employees in the reign of the Left Front government during their conversation with the Governor.
