KAMALPUR, August 7 (TIWN): The series of dreadful thefts in shops around the sub-division not yet resolved. Police failed to net even a single culprit regarding the theft incidents. Amidst it a sensational incident of stealing of car occurred last night here at Kamalpur. This intensified the problem for police as well as brewed resentment among the locales.

Last night a Bollero pick up van bearing number TR-04-A-1545 got stolen. The owner of the vehicle Mr. Dulal Deb, a contractor of repute in the area noticed the theft this morning.

He demanded that he was busy in work till 11-30 pm at home and the theft probably occurred after that time. He at once informed the police about the theft and police informed all the police stations. But still the vehicle remained traceless. Many are of the opinion that, it might be the act of inter-state racket.

However, within ten days of a sensational theft in a shop just opposite to SDPO’s office-cum-residence this incident proved the poor law and order of the town.
