KAMALPUR, August 5 (TIWN): On the eve of ensuing Nagar Panchayat and Municipal Council election, the delimitation of wards of 13 Municipal Councils and 6 Nagar Panchayat got settled. On 20th July last, the Urban Development department issued notification No. F.24 (1)-UDD/DUD/2010/3880-3924 in this matter.
As per this notification the urban Development department issued another notification numbered F.24 (1)-UDD/DUD/2010/3748-801 and clarified the ward-fixture of Nagar Panchayat. Among 11 seats of Kamalpur Nagar Panchayat 03 got reserved for SC, 05 for women and 03 left unreserved. In this order the population of ward got restricted from 898 to 1090 with an average of 991.
The District Election Officer, Sandeep R. Rathod issued an order on this matter numbered F.8 (28)/DM (D)/ ELEC/ MC & NP/DCA/ 2015/ 9678 on 31st July last. Ward No. 01, no. 03, no. 05, and no. 07 got reserved for women. The ward no. 10 got reserved for SC woman. Wards no’s 9, 10 and 11 got reserved for SC. Rest wards no’s 02, 04, 06, and 08 left unreserved.
