AGARTALA, Aug 1 (TIWN): Three-day long conference has been organized by the Tripura Government Teacher’s Association on Saturday at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan.

At the first day of the conference, Finance Minister Bhanulal Saha said that teachers play an extraordinary part in the lives of children for the formative years of their development and the importance of teachers is something that cannot be understated.

They involve themselves in moulding their students into responsible citizens of their country, added Saha.

Teachers are the people who educate the youth of society who in turn become the leaders of the next generation of people. Appreciating the role of teachers he said that teaching children and imparting knowledge upon them is most appreciable.

The programme begins after the Association had held a rally, the rally walked across the city and assembled at the premises of the Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan.

According the schedule of the programme, the second day of the conference will be held at the Nazrul Kalashetra in the presence of Chief Minister Manik Sarkar.

During the conference the delegates had discuss about the problems of the employees in the state.
